About

US Commodities is a robust physical commodity trading company based in Minneapolis, MN. The diversity of products and client segments is a distinguishing factor at USC, which trades conventional and organic grains, feed ingredients, dairy ingredients, forest products, rendered products, pet food ingredients, and more.

“Three things make US Commodities different and account for its success”, says Rolf Peters, AgMotion’s co-founder and CEO. “First, great people and especially outstanding traders; second, a very strong capital base; and third, an ongoing commitment to process re-engineering and automation to take steps out of processes and serve clients more effectively.”

Buy with confidence from US Commodities! US Commodities utilizes the AgMotion Marketing System (AMS), a proprietary trade management software application that drives down costs and improves customer service. A distinguishing aspect of AMS is its industry-leading Supply Chain Intelligence capabilities that capture and store detailed information about product quality and safety. US Commodities can trace every shipment of every cargo from origin to destination instantly, with all shipping documents and quality certificates attached to each individual record.

History

US Commodities was founded in the 1980’s by Wint Ritchie and Ken Fluck as a trading company engaged primarily in feed proteins. Based in Wayzata, MN, USC quickly acquired a reputation for integrity and unparalleled business segment expertise.

AgMotion acquired US Commodities in 2001 and re-branded its own trading operations under the USC brand. Today, US Commodities operates in multiple product and client segments around the globe, managing all aspects of the supply chain to bring products to customers wherever needed.
